Why Do You Need a Windows Registry Cleaner?

The internet is flooded by applications and software being offered by malicious software creators and are usually swamped with many different viruses and spyware. As we become dependent to internet, our computers become susceptible to all kinds of malicious intent by cyber criminals. Even if you install a antispyware software, there is a risk that your Windows registry might be ruined, as the anti-spyware software only removes spyware and adware without removing the traces of the software. As such, it leaves broken Windows Registry errors. This is the reason why Windows Registry Cleaner is very essential.

The Windows Registry contains reference source for the computer. When anti-spyware programs remove the active spyware files from your computer it leaves behind the reference to those files in the Windows Registry. Overtime, it will accumulate into greater number making your computer with a huge risk of crashing down. The Windows Registry Cleaner can stop this from happening by deleting everything that has to do with the spyware files.

The common problem that can be considered as symptoms of error in windows registry are: Slowing down of the computer process, system crash at vital times, the computer is not starting up the correct way, the need for often rebooting, services that are unable to function properly and always getting the blue screen.

The Windows Registry becomes corrupted over time as it stores more and more files and keeps growing. When it becomes full and unable to keep all the data, it will prompt an error and it might pose a bigger problem to the system. As such, it is essential to use a windows registry cleaner. The cleaner will ensure that all files in relation to the spyware and adware will be deleted every time it is detected.

The registry cleaner is a utility program aim to scan the registry for possible invalid entries and other files that has no use and is outdated. Specifically, the cleaner remove the temporary files, URL history, cookies, index.dat from internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Opera Mini. It also cleans up temporary files and Log files, recycle bins and recent documents. It can also delete unused and old entries. It also removes other unused and outdated files of other applications. This cleaner can be set automatically or manually.

There are various available types of cleaner in the market. Aside from doing its main function of cleaning the registry, it can also come with additional features such as boosts computer's performance, system optimizer, easy cleaner, fix-it utilities, registry mechanic and a lot more.

When looking for a good registry cleaner, make sure that it offers the following: Automatic Scan, custom scan, manual cleanup, backup and undo and scheduler. Having all these features will ensure maximized function of your purchase. These features will guarantee that the Windows Registry Cleaner will function to suit whatever your cleaning requirement is. Although it may seem unnecessary to purchase this program since the risk of having a registry error can be far cry from today, it is still important to prevent untoward things from happening than trouble shooting.

Copycat Restaurant Recipes – Everything You Ever Wanted to Know

There is a lot of confusion about copycat restaurant recipes and many people believe that it is impossible to replicate the flavor of your favorite dish in the comfort of your own home.

Most of this confusion stems from the fact that there are authentic copycat restaurant recipes and bad ones. If you have ever followed a bad copycat recipe the experience might have put you off trying another, which is a shame because some copycat recipes are excellent.

Some famous recipes are very simple and easy to copy, whereas others are more tricky and might contain a few elusive ingredients that contribute the special flavor in the dish. There are copycat restaurants for all kinds of famous meals, from Kentucky fried chicken copycat recipes to McDonalds dipping sauce recipes and more.

Simple Fast Food Copycat Recipes

Some copycat recipes are not secret any more thanks to the chefs or cooks in certain restaurants, some recipes have been guessed and others are really simple to make. What about a McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwich, for example?

To make this recipe, you simply cook some southern fried fish fillets and fill a hamburger bun with two of these and a slice of American cheese. The "secret dressing" is a combination of mayonnaise, thousand island dressing, sweet relish and sugar. That is all you need.

Once you realize how simple these restaurant recipes are, a lot of the mystique about them is gone and you realize you can quite easily make a near replica of this famous dish at home. McDonalds might use square breaded fish fillets and slightly sweetened hamburger buns but you will be able to make a really close copy of this sandwich.

Copycat Recipe for Outback Steakhouse Shrimp on the Barbie

This very simple recipe uses a dry rub to flavor the shrimp and then they are simply sauteed or grilled with olive oil and white wine. This is a very popular dish at the Outback Steakhouse and it is incredibly easy to recreate yourself. The following recipe makes enough to serve two people.

You will need:

1 lb jumbo shrimp
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
Splash of white wine
Olive oil

How to make it:

Combine the garlic powder, white pepper, poultry seasoning, cayenne pepper and onion powder, and then rub this mixture into the shrimp. Leave them for an hour, and then saute them in some olive oil. Add the white wine while the shrimp are sauteing.

As soon as the shrimp are pink on both sides they are done. You could also grill them, in which case use the olive oil and white wine to baste the shrimp while they cook.

It can be a lot of fun to recreate copycat restaurant recipes yourself. Not only can you save a lot of money by buying ingredients instead of paying restaurant prices but you can get the same amazing flavor at home. Impress your family with a copycat recipe for your favorite dish. What about a Kentucky fried chicken recipe or another famous southern fried chicken recipe to treat your family? Good copycat restaurant recipes tend to be easy to make and taste just like the real thing.

Casey Anthony: Bombshell! Her story isn’t going away

Chief Judge Belvin Perry in court in September. Photo credit: Red Huber/Orlando Sentinel

Did you see my colleague Anthony Colarossi’s story explaining where things stand in the Casey Anthony case? The trial drew a lot of scrutiny, nationally and internationally, and many trial watchers are determined to see that Anthony collects no money for telling her story. In July, she was acquitted of murder in the 2008 death of her daughter, Caylee.

Attorney Cheney Mason told “In Session” that any negotiations for Anthony’s story would start after her appeal is over. Colarossi explained the “seemingly glacial pace” of the appeal of her misdemeanor convictions of lying to law enforcement.

Many people like to replay the trial to try to explain how the acquittal was reached. It may be a parlor game elsewhere, but the verdict has ramifications in this community.

Here it’s an election issue. Chief Judge Belvin Perry is running for another term. What did voters think of his performance during the trial? And should the highly respected Perry be judged by one trial? (Should the whole system be judged by one trial?) Perry has never discussed the trial, which sets him apart from nearly everyone.

The Anthony saga will be an issue in the state attorney’s race. Did former prosecutor Jeff Ashton impress or annoy with his trial performance? Was the state attorney’s office, under Lawson Lamar, right to seek the death penalty against Anthony? Do voters think the state attorney’s office did its best on the case? If there is Anthony fatigue, is there an opening for challenger Ryan Williams, another former prosecutor under Lamar?

Could that “seemingly glacial pace” mean we won’t hear from Anthony for a long, long time, if ever? That may be good news for some, and bad news for others. The Anthony story isn’t going away.

3 Mistakes in Scrapbook Design

Beginner scrapbookers will always commit mistakes in their scrapbook designs. That is to be expected, anyway, but there are also ways to minimize these boo-boos and avoid ruining a perfectly good project. Do you still remember the mistakes that you did while you were still learning the ropes? Beginners usually fear the prospect of committing scrapbooking blunders, and these fears tend to be the reason why they don't continue with the hobby anymore, which is quite a pity.

Creating a beautiful scrapbook design certainly takes creative talent, knowledge of techniques, and a passion for learning the craft. If you're afraid of committing mistakes, then you will never learn anything, because nobody gets it right the first time. Even the experts developed their skills through trial and error, you see. The first step is to be aware of the most common mistakes, so that you will learn to avoid or minimize these mistakes as you work.

Pictures

One of the most common mistakes that beginners commit is becoming overwhelmed by the amount of pictures that they have. For example: they have recently arrived from their vacation and want to create a scrapbook about the sights and sounds they enjoyed. As they start to gather the dozens of photographs they have taken during the trip, they also start to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of photos in front of them. Most beginners tend to become frustrated or confused in this situation, which should not happen at all.

The best way to handle this is learning to organize your photos from the start. You should be able to arrange them in chronological order at the very least. You should also consider that you don't have to use all of your photos. Just pick out one or two photos that you really like, and you're in good shape.

Cropping your pictures

There are lots of times when you need to crop your photos to fit a page or match a layout. This is perfectly fine, and all scrapbookers do this all the time. The mistake is when you overcrop a photo, so you don't get the effect or look that you were going for in the first place. Look at your picture first, and think about what part of that photo do you want your audience to focus on. Sometimes you don't even need to crop the photo, and there will be times when the background helps to tell the story so that cropping the picture in this case will only ruin it.

Buying Overpriced Materials

There are scrapbookers who don't realize that they are already buying overpriced materials, even from their favorite stores. This will have a huge effect on your expenses especially if you frequently go shopping for new scrapbooking supplies. You should be patient and do a little window shopping first before making a decision to buy something. Just because you can afford to buy embellishments and papers everyday doesn't mean that you're getting the best for your money. There are plenty of stores, both local and online, that sell quality scrapbooking materials without the mind-boggling price tags, so it would be worth your while to look for them.

Planning Your Layouts With Sketches

Do you use sketches to help you to plan out your layouts?

I find that if I'm struggling with the creative process and just can't focus on what I want my end result to look like, sketches are an absolute Godsend.

Of course, the doyen of scrapbook sketches has got to be Becky Higgins. Her books and articles in magazines have really raised the awareness of scrappers to this great scrapping aid. And she creates such fabulous sketches, especially for incorporating multiple photos.

I find sketches especially helpful when I'm doing traditional scrapping. Without the forgiving Undo button of digital scrapping there's much more importance on having some sort of end vision of your layout to plan and work towards. Even if that vision is fuzzy, having a structure for the elements is something I find enormously helpful.

When I have done large theme albums such as the two 40 page Trip albums I did of my last two overseas trips, I found sketching the framework of each double page spread (and limiting myself to a small number of different colours and patterns) enabled me to pull the albums together quite quickly. I was able to keep focused on the photos, memorabilia and journaling without agonizing over the placement of all the elements. An absolute boon when all you want to do is package up a great looking large project in a relatively short time frame.

And just to make life easier there are a number of great web sites offering free sketches for you to download. Some of my favourites are Page Maps, Pencil Lines and Scrap Maps but of course there are many others and you'll also find some great sketches in the large Scrapping web site forums.

Digital templates are now becoming popular and an extension of the Scrapbook Sketch concept designed specifically for the Digital Scrapbooker. These templates are multi-layered element blocks which the scrapper replaces with the digital papers or elements of their choice using their graphics editing software. Effectively the layout structure and design is provided for you and you choose the colours and patterns you want to use, as well as the photos of course.

Both scrapbooking sketches and digital templates help the busy scrapbooker to complete layouts quicker and easier than starting from scratch but still allow the element of creativity in the process that all scrapbookers seek.

Is A Dedicated Server Suitable For You?

With the invention of Internet, businesses have found new ways to expand their products and services as the Internet has broken down many barriers that were previously present. Nowadays, almost anyone can sell their products or services from the comforts of their home to people all over the world. However, managing an online business site means managing various aspects of the business which includes web hosting.

Like any other sites, you will first need to determine your site's requirements and purpose so that you can find the most suitable hosting plan for it. There are various types of hosting plans which includes dedicated hosting and shared hosting. Most business entities especially larger companies prefer dedicated servers as they provide better consistency and better features compared to a shared server.

So what exactly is a dedicated server? It basically means that you would be having the whole server to yourself. You will not need to share the resources provider by the service provider with other websites. You will have better security as well as you would be the only one with access to it without having to worry about other companies hindering your security measures. That is why most companies prefer to pay slightly more for dedicated servers so that they may enjoy such benefits.

As your site will be the only one hosted on the server, you will be having more resources than you would with a shared server. This means you will have more disk space and bandwidth which allows you to upload more contents and allow growth in the future. Also, you will be able to provide better response time to your site's visitors. They will be able to browse your site without experiencing any lag in the response time.

Additionally, you will get better control over the tools used and the construction of the site. You will be able to choose which tools that you are most comfortable or those that will give you the most flexibility. However, all these benefits do not come for free. You should be prepared to spend more money to enjoy such exclusivity and control. Also, there will be additional cost to hire technical support personnel to fix your technical problems when it arises. The cost of all these may be a drawback to some, however, you should consider it as an investment that you can make back when you see an increase in revenue due to a successful business site.

Do you know that a successful website depends on a quality hosting? Without a good host you will not succeed. Check out the best managed dedicated servers companies and learn which host is widely recognized by professional bloggers. Don't forget to find out the best Joomla hosting too for its value of money!

How To Deal With Web Hosting Services That Go Bad

Not every bad web hosting service starts out that way. A variety of factors can be at play when a hosting service fails to live up to the promises that it initially made to you. While you would like to see the relationship grow and strengthen over time, you cannot stay in a place out of loyalty when it is affecting your traffic and user satisfaction. If your web hosting company has started to go bad, then it probably means they've let a few things happen like increased downtime, security faults, and price increases. All these things can be detrimental to the success of your site and the safety of your users. So when a good hosting company starts to go bad, here's how you should deal with it:

Communicate Immediately

Some problems with downtime, for instance, can be solved if you chat one on one with your hosting company's representative and begin taking copious notes on the incidents, so you can report them. Don't feel like you are being too pushy here. Report them, each and every one, and don't let them give you the run around. Eventually, one of two things will happen. They'll get so sick of you they'll finally fix the problem, or they won't care and you'll need to go somewhere else. But how do you know when to make the move? It usually pays to be upfront with them about the implications. If that's not enough for motivation, then you shouldn't be talking with them any more.

Protect Your Traffic

When security becomes a major concern at your hosting provider, you will need to let the company know right away that either results are achieved immediately, or you are taking your site and however many users you have with you. The people, who make you successful, trust that your site will protect their identities. So make sure that you do all you can to stave off the spambots and hackers and viruses that would maliciously want to steal and use their information.

Shop Around

The minute you feel discomfort with your hosting company, it doesn't hurt to start shopping around. After all, web hosting is the most vital part of bringing your site to the masses. A day or a week or a month down can hurt you greatly. So can sporadic availability. But what if your hosting company isn't doing any of that? They are simply, and inexplicably, raising their prices frequently, and it's starting to cost you. That's where shopping around helps. By letting your hosting company know that you have been looking around, you can generally find some understanding between yourself and them.

Keep these things in mind, and also keep a close eye on your provider.

Important Terms Of Web Hosting

Web hosting is the space where files & contents of a site are kept to make it accessible on the internet. There are some important terms related to web hosting, which you should know clearly before buying any web hosting. These are briefly described below.

1. Server PC: The PC where websites are kept is called server PC. Server PC's are usually high-performance PC connected to high speed & reliable internet & are kept running all the time to keep hosted sites up.

2. Disk Space: Disk space is the space on the server PC which is allocated for an account to store web files. Any file you want to publish on the internet should be kept on this space. The required space for a website is same as the total volume of the files, databases, emails etc.

Suppose, You want to host a website which has 200 files, which are 270MB, in volume. The site has a database of 10MB & You want to store up to 30MB's of email then the required space is 270+10+30 = 310MB.

A lot of hosting providers claim to provide unlimited disk space, but practically no one provides unlimited space. If you use too much space on the server, they'll close your account for lame excuses.

3. Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the measurement of data transfer between the web server and visitors' PC or other data source. When a visitor visits a web page, the browser actually downloads the whole webpage including rich media files like image, video, audio, flash animation etc & show it on PC screen. The measurement of this data transfer is called bandwidth.

Bandwidth includes all type of data transfer like website visit, upload/download files, server to server data transfer etc.

The calculation of required bandwidth is quite simple. Suppose, the average size of your web pages are 520KB & you are expecting 100 daily visits on your site.

You have a product manual on the site for downloading which is of 3MB & the estimated download is 10 times per month.

You have a comment section on your company blog where visitors can upload avatar of max. 512KB while commenting on blog posts. You are expecting 50 people will upload avatars per month.

So, the monthly required bandwidth is -

For web pages: (520*100*30)KB = 1,560,000KB = 1523.4MB

For product manual: (3*10)MB = 30MB

For users' avatar: (512*50)KB = 25,600KB = 25MB

Total: (1524+30+25)MB = 1579MB = 1.54GB

If you perform any server to server file transfer, then that'll also be counted on bandwidth.

Like disk space, no one provides unlimited bandwidth though a lot of providers claim it. If your site consumes a lot of bandwidths, then they'll close your account.

4. Uptime: The time when the server remains accessible on the internet is called server uptime. To keep a site accessible, it is required to keep the server run & connected to the internet.

Keeping server PC up all time is quite impossible as it requires regular hardware & network maintenance as well as server updates. Also, accidental technical problem may occur anytime. This is why most providers guarantee 99.99% uptime. So the maximum downtime is 0.01%, which means the maximum downtime per month is:

(30*24*60*0.01)/100 = 43.2 Minutes

This is what providers claim, but the reality is different. Good providers usually provide 99.90-99.99% uptime but for bad providers, sometimes it's below 90%.

5. Addon domain: Addon domain is the domain which is added to a hosting account to publish different website under that domain.

While purchasing a hosting, everyone needs to register a new domain or use existing domain to sign up. This domain becomes primary domain or main domain for the hosting. All other domains added to the account to publish different websites are addon domains.

Consider, you used the domain example.com for purchasing a hosting. Then example.com is the main or primary domain for that hosting account. Then you wanted to host a blog on that hosting account whose domain will be example-blog.com. In that case, you'll have to add the domain as addon domain on that account. After that, you'll be able to host the blog under example-blog.com without affecting the main site hosted under main domain.

With addon domain, you can host more than one websites on the same web hosting account.

6. Subdomain: Subdomain is the extension of a domain which is mainly used to organize the site properly. Subdomain works as a directory on the server.

Suppose, you have a business site whose domain is http://www.mybusiness.com You have 3 sections on your site. Main section - containing your company & service information, Clients section & support section. Then you can host the main section on root domain & clients & support sections under clients & support subdomains respectively. So the address for clients section will be clients.mybusiness.com & support section will be support.mybusiness.com.

As an example, the URL of google plus is plus.google.com

Here, plus is the subdomain of google.com

If we split the URL based on domain level, then

.com = 1st or top level domain

Google = 2nd level domain

Plus = 3rd level domain

So, have a clear idea on these terms & choose the best hosting for your site.

Significance Of VPS Hosting

VPS or Virtual Private Server is also better known as Virtual Dedicated servers or Virtual Machine. They are now commonly used throughout to reduce cost and improve performance. It is a simple storage box with physical partitions which has different operating system installed in it. Each physical partition acts as a virtual server and is dedicated to individual or an organization. Each partition is known as virtual dedicated server and is independent from each other to an extent that each of the partition can be rebooted separately without affecting the working environment of other. Virtual private services are an extension to web services and nowadays it has been offered by many of the companies.

There are two types of virtual private hosting services. The primary one being managed host services and the other one is unmanaged host services. In an unmanaged environment, the customer has to manage, monitor and administer the server wherein in managed host services, a dedicated team looks after the server on behalf of their clients and provide 24/7 support. The space between the shared services and dedicated host services has been bridged by Virtual Private Servers. This allow independence to the customers in a cost effective way rather making them buy expensive dedicated servers which would not only block their money but even would require space and IT team to manage the same.

To get complete control over the VPS server, one should always choose unmanaged VPS service. However once should have good knowledge about the operating system on which VPS is working because any changes or up gradation is in the hand of the customer. On the other hand in case one doesn't have the basic knowledge on VPS i.e. how to set it up or how to manage the same, then Managed VPS Service would be the best option because there are several tools which would help the user to work with ease. Secondly such kind of managed services are also provided by many VPS service providers at reasonable price. Managed VPS services has an upper edge over unmanaged VPS hosting services because of the flexibility of increasing space as per business requirement with an added cost. However one should understand that during peak hours, due to such system, the web traffic is on the higher end and which can make the site slow or inaccessible. However with new softwares, these issues have also been taken care off in last few years.
