Kennedy Center Honors, ‘NCIS’ put CBS on top

“NCIS” was a rerun Tuesday, but it was still the most-watched broadcast with 12.5 million viewers.

The two-hour Kennedy Center Honors averaged 8.4 million viewers. TV’s classiest awards show this year honored Meryl Streep, Sonny Rollins, Barbara Cook, Neil Diamond and Yo-Yo Ma. Were you impressed?

With those two telecasts, CBS won the night by averaging 9.7 million viewers. Here’s how the other broadcast networks fared: ABC with 5.1 million, NBC with 2.7 million, Fox with 2.5 million and The CW with 945,000. CBS edged ABC for the win in the 18-to-49 age group.

In Orlando, “NCIS” was tops with 197,500 viewers. The Kennedy Center Honors placed second with 106,300 viewers.
